This happened after the 1st WTC was hit....and before the 2nd. So why was the WTC 7 evacuated between these times??

which begs the question, "If WTC 7 was evacuated, and it had very small fires compared to the initially large fires in the towers, why weren't the towers evacuated?"

it obviously wouldn't have given the perps their desired ritual sacrifice, which was surely part of the intention that day.

"I can't believe nobody has picked up on the fact that in the BBC interview he states he was alone. In Dylans interview he states he was with his boss. Was his name Mark Price or something like that?

Jennings has been exposed to be a liar.

EDIT: Bosses Name is ^^ up there. Michael Hess"

The BBC producer did his best to script and edit Barry in a way that easily creates that impression.

At approximately 13:45 into the doc, Barry Jennings says; "When we got to the 8th floor I started walking ..."

I have to agree that Barry's apparent willingness to participate in the reenactments and his apparent acceptance of the distortion
to his original testimony, does nothing to help his credibility.

The fact still remains, that he was trapped because the WTC7 6th floor staircase landings were blown out and there is no
valid reason for them to have been by the collapse of WTC 2.

0646 The fire alarm system for World Trade Centre 7 is "placed on test" because of "routine maintenance".

Nist notes that: "Under test conditions (1) the system is typically disabled for the entire building, not just for the area where work is being performed, and (2) alarm signals typically do not show up on an operator console." (Final Report on the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers)
...
If test means to disable the system in order to carry out maintenance, surely anything that leaves the occupants of the building at risk would be better done at the weekend or in the evening.
the most obvious answer, although not necessarily supported by anything but the circumstances we are already familiar with, would be that they disabled the fire alarms (which could also include the sprinklers) so that the fires could remain for hours, giving a plausible theory for how it could just suddenly collapse without a plane hitting.

I seriously wonder if the fires were started intentionally as well. Having the alarms turned off certianly lends some credence to that idea.

Has anyone ever published any analysis of how the fires might have been started? And don't give me the "diesel tanks" explanation, because those things were not on all of the affected floors.
Lookup, the part which I have bolded is a common fallicy, Sprinkler heads are equipped with a metal which has a very low melting point which melts in the event of a fire which opens the head. Most cases there is also a pump with a pressure sensor whick kicks on the pump when it senses a loss of pressure in the circuit.

Obviously I don't know why those sprinklers failed as I was not there that day, but someone could have turned the master water valves off, or there could have been a power failure to the pumps. Somewhere on this board I have a thread with pictures of those pumps.

Anyway, Wiki has a decent article on sprinkler operation here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_sprinkler_system

- Just trying to keep it real. ;)

Edit to add - Those pics are in this thread - http://s1.zetaboards.com/LooseChangeForums/topic/51493/1/
The red paint indicates fire apparatus. ;)

Good point Look-Up.

Wasn't some of the occupants of the 2nd tower that was hit sent back in, after the 1st one was struck?

I tried looking for a clip of it, but I can't seem to find it...Can anyone find it?
http://www.archive.org/details/bbc200109111654-1736

That is BBC coverage from 4:54 pm - 5:36 pm on 911. ;)

Edit to add - at 3:28 into that is the first mention of the collapse which has not happened yet.
Thanks for that Headspin.

I wonder what there excuse is for the 2nd cut...when Phil brings up WTC7 with Jayne?? I have tried asking over at the editors blog, but none of my comments appear.
I looked at the link but it's not what I am after....but thanks Headspin.

I seem to remember that after this incident and a little later on in the day after the towers collapsed, Phil and Jayne talk again. It is quite dark in New York, so I imagine it is quite late in the UK.

He speaks to her about the events of the day, then Phil mentions the WTC 7 and the feed is cut again.

I've desperately tried to find it.

It was released the same time as this 1st clip, but everyone seems focused on this one and forgotten about the other later clip.

Unless I imagined it??

Cheers

Bingo.....Its was Bill Turnbull, not Phil....Doh!!

Here it is...Goto 2:10

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsqAHhTWEH0

Bill Turbull: "After the collapse of the Solomon Building Jayne, are the other buildings in that area stable."
Jayne Stanley: "Hmm....ahh"
A brief look away from the Camera...looks back....and smiles looks away for a second again..
Bill Turnbull: "Hello Jayne."
and as she turns her head back to the camera.
Jayne Stanley: "Nada"

Satellite timer feed again?? Or more like someone told her keep keep quiet. Hence she looks away....again.

It could be that she doesn't hear Bill in the studio, but she never asks him to repeat the question.

The BBC are shameful.

19m30secs, Dept Chief of NYFD Peter Haydon says,
"We had a discussion with one particular engineer there, and we asked him, if we allowed it to burn could we anticipate a collapse and if so how soon? And it turned out that he was pretty much right on the money and he said in it's current state you have about 5 hours"

This seems odd given that the official hypothesis has at best a low probability. NIST should have talked to this engineer.
is this "engineer" Jerome Hauer ?

In Canada

5.2 Impairment and interruption
(a) Routine maintenance or an alteration to the fire alarm system which could possibly inadvertently actuate the fire alarm system shall not be carried out during normal working hours, except for emergency service or repairs as permitted in (b).

Not quite there..

I guess I was trying to say that part of the operation might have included disabling the sprinklers by whatever means necessary.

If you are evacuating everyone anyways, it would be easy for someone to shut off the pumps somehow.

The conclusion I come to is this.

Based on the evidence we know 7 was demolished. Since we know that and it really can't be refuted, we can assume that they had a cover story ready much like they have one ready for everything else.

With that assumption in place, it is then easy to assume that the fires needed to be maintained, which could be the reason for the following...

1, deactivation of alarms
2, evacuation of personnel
3, possible disabling of sprinkler pumps
4, not allowing the fires to be fought successfully.

The only way for them to disable the sprinkler system is to cut water to the building. As JFK mentioned, the sprinklers go off based on heat.

Yeah, but that concept does make for a good movie. :D

let us not forget that this building was wired for demolition... so it could have very well had the water turned off that morning.

the fact remains, the sprinklers did not do their job.

I'm probably on thin ice here but fire chief Nigro seems a little suspicious to me. He gets a bit defensive at the end by claiming how disgusted he is that anyone would suggest he could be involved in the conspiracy. Watch how he fidgets and unweights himself as he is saying it.
